Mitch Georgiades flies for a mark during training at Alberton Oval.

PORT ADELAIDE senior coach Ken Hinkley is eager to display his young and exciting list for the members and fans during the Port Adelaide’s intra-club on Friday evening.

The Power added four talented top-end draft picks last season, and Hinkley said it’s a great opportunity to come to Alberton Oval and see them first-hand for the first time in a competitive hit-out.

“You should get excited about them. You should get excited," Hinkley said during a press conference on Wednesday afternoon.

“We had the three boys last year that were really exciting. Well there is some stuff going on out there on the training track that is as equally as exciting.

“I’m talking about the boys we drafted, and even young Jake Pasini who we drafted on the rookie list is doing some really nice things.

“Most of the people have seen Mitch (Georgiades) take a few grabs which is pretty exciting. He’s a bit of a highlights reel, so we look forward to creating a few of them."

The senior coach has been thrilled with the development of the first-year players, and he is expecting them to put forward a strong case for a debut come the start of the season.

“Now they have got to earn that spot and get that spot,” Hinkley said.

“I’m not going to sit here today and tell you who that is because there is a fair bit to play through, but I’m excited by what’s coming.

“And I’ve never been frightened to put them out there.”

The 53-year-old encouraged Port Adelaide's supporters and members to get out to Alberton Oval and get a look at the club's new faces in person before the team hits the road for the Marsh Community Series.

“You should want to come down and have a look,” he said.

“If you look through our pre-season, you know we’re not going to play here for a little bit.

“We are going to be away in Brisbane then away in Whyalla representing our sponsors up there, and then our first game is away.

“Your opportunity to come watch these people - I guarantee if you’re a Port Adelaide person and you’re supporting us strongly, you’ll want to get down here Friday and have a look.

“There’s a fair bit to look at.”

The gates for Port Adelaide’s intra-club on Friday afternoon will open at 4.30pm for a gold coin donation, with the game commencing at 5.30pm.

A full squad signing session will take place post the match.
