Tex Wanganeen, 10, will pull on the club's famous guernsey before running onto the Adelaide Oval with Travis Boak and the rest of the Power's line-up on Sunday afternoon.
His father Gavin wore the 'prison bar' jumper at Port Adelaide in the 1990 SANFL Grand Final victory over Glenelg before leaving to join Essendon via the draft the following year.
Gavin famously returned to his home club as captain for its inaugural AFL season in 1997, and was a member of the club’s 2004 premiership team - wearing the No. 4 jumper for which he has become best known.
Port Adelaide has also confirmed it will continue to give the children of former players the chance to be the club's junior mascot for the 2014 AFL Finals Series, as long as the club continues to progress through the major round.
