EDDIE BETTS will be assessed by the Crows this week as the livewire forward prepares to return from appendix surgery.
He'll be joined in Adelaide's fitness test group by Brad Crouch (cheekbone) and Jake Lever (hamstring).
The Crows' fitness chief Matt Hass told their website Betts would be guided by his surgeon on a return to playing duties.
Eddie will see the surgeon this week and we’ll be guided by him on his return to play,” Hass said.
“Eddie will be pushing to do everything he can to play Port Adelaide.”
Port Adelaide plays the Crows at the Adelaide Oval on Sunday 6 August at 4.10pm ACST.
