PORT Adelaide will welcome a confident Western Bulldogs side to Adelaide Oval on Saturday, fresh from their stirring win over Collingwood in Round 13.

Andrew Fuss takes a look at who’s in the mix for selection ahead of Saturday’s clash.

Port Adelaide
All eyes are on Hamish Hartlett and Jared Polec, who are both listed as ‘assess’ on the club’s injury list suffering from ankle injuries.

Polec missed the Power’s trip to Sydney in Round 13 but captain Travis Boak says he’s confident the former Lion will play against the Dogs.

As with Boak and Polec in previous weeks, it seems possible Hartlett will miss one week as he recovers.

Ben Newton, Tom Logan and Sam Gray continued their outstanding form in the SANFL and will again come into contention at the selection table.

Western Bulldogs
Brownlow Medallist Adam Cooney will miss Saturday’s clash with a hamstring injury in a major blow for the Dogs.

However, they could welcome back gun midfielder Matthew Boyd, who missed the clash with the Pies because of hamstring tightness.

First-year player Mitch Honeychurch put his hand up for selection with a five-goal haul for Footscray in the VFL. Jake Stringer booted three goals while Lachie Hunter continued to impress with two goals.

With a stirring win over Collingwood on Sunday, it seems unlikely the Dogs will make wholesale changes for their trip to Adelaide Oval.
