THE historic first AFL match at Adelaide Oval between Port Adelaide and Melbourne will be held on Father's Day, Sunday 4 September.
The AFL has confirmed the scheduling for Round 24, allocating the 2.40pm Sunday time slot to the Power-Demons clash.
Port Adelaide President Brett Duncanson thanked the AFL, the SANFL and the SACA for making the game possible and providing a fixture time that will ensure the game is an outstanding success.“We are looking forward to showcasing the AFL in the heart of Adelaide and an afternoon clash on Father’s Day provides a fantastic opportunity for families and all football fans to enjoy the unique experience,” Mr Duncanson said.
Planning is well underway for this history-making clash, and Port Adelaide will keep Members and Supporters informed of seating and other Game Day arrangements as they become available.
Tickets to the game will go on sale in coming weeks.
