Tom Doedee of the Crows is tackled by Travis Boak during the 2018 AFL round 20 match between the Adelaide Crows and the Port Adelaide

Adelaide could be at near full-strength for the Showdown against Port Adelaide on Saturday night, but will be forced into at least one change.

Young forward Tyson Stengle must serve a club-imposed ban after being caught drink driving and driving unlicensed during the isolation period. He had eleven disposals and a goal in the Crows’ Round 1 loss to Sydney.

It opens the door for livewire Shane McAdam to make his AFL debut in his second season on the list.

Crows captain Rory Sloane has nominated defenders Lachlan Scholl and Will Hamill and midfielder Ben Keays as other potential debutants for his side after each put in strong showings since returning from the isolation period.

Defender Tom Doedee has also put his hand up to resume after a lengthy injury layoff. The leadership group member ruptured his ACL against Hawthorn in Round 1, 2019 and is chasing a fairytale comeback against the club’s cross-town rivals Port Adelaide.

Adelaide will name its squad for Saturday night’s Showdown 48 on Thursday evening.
