Macca’s Top Five
Matthew Broadbent
It’s hard to pick a best player this week as there weren't really too many standouts, so i've picked the Cobra as his was one of the only true 4 quarter efforts of the day. Thought he played a very consistent game and it was by far his best game of footy for the last 4-6 weeks. Back to his best taking critical grabs in defence and using the ball well rebounding up the field. Seemed to lack opposition pressure which suited him finely. Well done Cobra, good to see him back to his best.

Matt White
Thought he was good today. A couple of bad clangers (like dropping the ball running into an open goal) but other than that thought he was one of our best players today. His line breaking today was at its best, kicked a nice goal and had a play in at least 3-4 others as well. A few weeks ago when Schulz was being interviewed he said how the teammates give an autographed Sherrin to those they consider having played a great team game and doing the one percenters. Whitey should get that ball this week. Was the ultimate team game in my opinion.

Robbie Gray
Another of our four quarter contributors and great to see him have such a good showing in a celebration game. Another mid-20s & 2 goal game. Ever consistent is our Robbie, that’s why we love him. Thought he was the best of our forwards and liked what he did in the midfield as well.

Jasper Pittard
Good to very good performance I thought. Defensively was more than acceptable. His work with the ball was very very good. Overall it was one of his better games for the year I thought. No critical turnovers, no gifted goals to the opposition. Just a very solid, dependable performance.

Jarman Impey
Loved his game today. Had him as our best player in the first half and whilst he slowed down a little as the game went on, thought his influence was telling today. Whilst he was playing on a fellow youngster, he didn't allow JK-H a lot of room to move and a lot of his disposals were under significant pressure. Thought it was probably the best all round game Impey has played encompassing both the defensive and attacking sides of his game. Showed a lot running further up the field as well. Just continues to impress and stamp himself at AFL level.
