DOCKER defenders Zac Dawson and Luke McPharlin will be assessed by Fremantle this week after suffering injuries in their 19-point win over West Coast in the WA derby on Sunday.

Dawson was substituted from the game at half-time after suffering an ankle injury, but the Dockers are yet to provide an update on the extent of the problem.

"It's a bit uncertain with Zac," Fremantle coach Ross Lyon said on Sunday.

"He's rolled his ankle and foot, and it's hard to ascertain.

"In my time with Zac he has always been able to play through [injury], obviously there's a red flag but again I wouldn't want to pre-empt the medical [staff]."

McPharlin will have scans for a potential upper leg injury and will be further assessed by Dockers medicos, but Lyon believed the injury to be minor.

"Luke's seems really minor to be honest, but while the bodies are hot and the blood is flowing through it's hard to assess."

Clancee Pearce is also likely to be named in the Dockers lineup despite having his shoulder worked on during the game.

Port Adelaide plays Fremantle at 1:10pm on Saturday.
