During the months of May and June the Port Adelaide Football Club is set to host up to 15 junior football clubs here at Alberton Oval as part of our support for junior clubs in South Australia.

The various clubs will bring approximately 30 players to Alberton Oval for a unique inner sanctum tour with one of our community staff members. The young players are able to see the training and office facilities, learn about the operations of the Port Adelaide Football Club and have a kick and a catch in the indoor facility.

The group from Nairne Bremer Junior Football Club were lucky enough to have captain Travis Boak stop mid training for a chat and they received autographs from Matthew Lobbe who was about to start his weights program as the junior players arrived.

The group described the experience as ‘’awesome” and can’t wait to host the players at their football club in the near future.

Our engagement with junior football clubs is our way of encouraging participation and supporting club coaches and volunteers – we are Kicking Goals Together.
