Adelaide Oval ticketing update: 3 March
The latest ticketing update for current and prospective club members and those wishing to attend the first game at the Adelaide Oval.
The message for those who have not signed up a a members of the Port Adelaide Football Club is simple: the only way you can guarantee your seat at the game is to purchase either an Essential Power or 11-game reserved seat membership with the Power.
General admission members - including 11-game general admission, country, interstate and 3-game members - must upgrade to a reserved seat on Tuesday 11 March from 9:00am (ACDT)
The club will be writing to all members in the coming days, via both email and post, to confirm these details and provide instructions on how to secure an upgrade to a reserved seat for the Showdown.
A strict limit of one ticket per membership has placed on the pre-sale, meaning further memberships will be required for those wishing to bring others to the game.
Key points of the pre-sale that general admission members should note include:
- If wishing to sit with family members or friends, all relevant membership barcodes corresponding to each member should be on hand at the point of upgrade. You can obtain your barcode by logging into your member account at weareportadelaide.com.au.
- You will not be able to purchase additional tickets on behalf of non-members, so you must ensure you have joined as a Port Adelaide member by 5:00pm (ACDT) on Thursday 6 March in order to generate your barcode before the pre-sale period commences.
- The cost per adult ticket to upgrade starts at $10.00 for seating in what are usually general admission areas, up to $57.50 to sit in premium reserved seating areas on the mid-tier of the Eastern Stand.
- Each transaction will attrack a $5.25 transaction fee.
- All tickets are subject to availability so you need to get in early if the game is a chance to sell-out.
- You will not be able to purchase a ticket when you arrive at the Adelaide Oval. As the game is expected to sell out, it is unlikely you will be able to purchase a ticket after member pre-sale closes.
Meanwhile the club is able to provide the latest update on Essential Power member guest passes.
There will be no guest passes available for the Showdown.
Guest passes are always 'subject to capacity' and as a result, there will be none available for this anticipated sell-out game.
The best way to guarantee entry into the Western Stand for the Showdown is to purchase an extra Essential Power membership for the 2014 season.
