PORT Adelaide and Melbourne will travel to Alice Springs for an Indigenous Round clash at Traeger Park.

Andrew Fuss takes a look at who’s in the mix for selection for both sides in Round 11.

Port Adelaide
There will be at least one change for the Power against the Demons with Hamish Hartlett suspended.

Angus Monfries needs to prove he’s over an ankle injury if he’s going to be board the plane to Alice Springs.

If Monfries fails to come up, expect Paul Stewart, Jake Neade and Sam Gray to come into strong contention, with both in an impressive run of form in the SANFL.

Stewart had 29 touches and four scoring shots, although he wasn’t able to convert any of them. Neade was lively and his defensive pressure a feature in his 16 disposal, one goal game. Gray impressed in his three AFL games earlier in the season and has continued his good form at SANFL level.

Ben Newton, Andrew Moore and Tom Logan will all battle to fill Hartlett’s spot in the team.

Newton has been in good form for an extended period for the Magpies and got the call-up to make his AFL debut against GWS in Canberra. He had 25 touches, 7 inside 50s and 6 clearances in Round 8 for the Magpies. Moore missed the last game because of suspension but his form up until then had been stellar.

Melbourne
Prior to the bye, the Demons had an impressive win over Richmond at the MCG, so don’t expect too many changes at the selection table.

There will however, be at least one, with Chris Dawes ruled out due to a one-game suspension. James Frawley is widely tipped to replace Dawes up forward if he can prove his fitness.

Neville Jetta will also be available while Jordie McKenzie has shown strong form in the VFL, according to AFL.com.au.
