THE injuries of several key Power players will be reviewed at training leading up to the clash with Alan Richardson’s St Kilda on Saturday.

Chad Wingard will be monitored at training following his concussion during last Saturday’s win over Melbourne, however the club’s head of high performance Darren Burgess told portadelaidefc.com.au he expected the John Cahill Medallist to be passed fit to play.

“Chad was up and about after the game, so we think he should be available to play, but we do need to be careful with concussions so he’ll be carefully monitored during the week,” Burgess said.

And Matt White and Travis Boak will also be managed through the week and will need to pass fit after suffering respective foot and ankle injuries.

“Matt had a direct impact to his foot and was sore after the game, so we put him on crutches overnight as a precaution and we’ll manage him this week,” Burgess said.

“We’ll also keep a close eye on Boaky, yes he played out the game, but we don’t want to run the risk of losing our captain to a serious injury.”

Port Adelaide will also review defender Tom Jonas, forward Angus Monfries and veteran Dom Cassisi at training this week.

Rookie Sam Russell is also poised to make his return from a hamstring injury against Central District at Alberton on Sunday, as is previously long-term injured Lewis Stevenson.
