Moore has worked hard to put his name into the selection mix for this Sunday's game between the Power and Giants after putting his 30-disposal effort on Monday.
While he had a quiet first half two weekends ago, Moore provided a full game of performance to his side which got up over Glenelg at the Bay.
Development coach Tyson Edwards said most of Moore’s numbers were up on previous weeks and it was good to see him continuing his significant contributions to North’s good form.
“Moorey was good, his first half probably better, but perhaps only because he played mainly forward in the second half,” Edwards told portadelaidefc.com.au.
“He would’ve clocked up some good numbers and was certainly one of North’s better players.
“The good news for him is that he’s strung together two solid weeks so he’s got a bit of form under his belt.”
While North was a convincing winner over the Bays, Moore’s Power teamamtes in the side - Daniel Stewart and Nathan Blee - both had quiet matches.
Edwards said Blee was involved through the middle but didn’t have the impact he had in previous weeks.
Similarly Stewart had a quiet three quarters to start the game before “coming alive” in the final term when he provided a tall marking and ruck presence for the Roosters.
Tom Clurey was disappointing at full-back for Glenelg, with his direct opponent kicking 6.4 in a tough day for the young defender, particularly considering several weeks of good form coming into the game.
Port Adelaide’s SANFL side dominated proceedings at Alberton Oval on Sunday afternoon with a number of Power-aligned players lining up in the Magpies’ big win.
Aaron Young, Brendon Ah Chee, Ben Newton and Justin Hoskin rotated through the midfield with Port Adelaide football development manager Daniel Healy describing all as having “solid” performances.
Young was the best of the lot in what was his strongest game for the Magpies since joining earlier this season.
“Youngy got 21 possessions and the best thing about him was that he set things up,” Healy told portadelaidefc.com.au.
“He plenty of goal assists, good ball work – we were pleased with him and it was probably his best game for the Magpies.”
Ah Chee, Hoskin and Newton had between 16 and 13 disposals each having played around 70 per cent game time.
Danny Butcher was also solid playing in his usual small defender role, but Healy says he now needs to focus on increasing his ball-winning ability.
“Danny did some courageous stuff and tackled really well, but his numbers are still low and that’s something we need to see improve now,” he said.
Norwood and West Adelaide played on Saturday afternoon at Richmond Oval in a match that saw the Power’s ruckmen Matthew Lobbe and Brent Renouf go head-to-head at times.
Lobbe came out on top after adding 17 disposals to his 33 hit outs.
“There were plenty of times when they (Lobbe and Renouf) weren’t opposed to each other as part of the rotations,” development coach Stuart Cochrane told portadelaidefc.com.au.
“Lobbe was the better of the two, he got possessions around the ground, usually playing against the Redlegs’ second ruck.
“His positioning was pretty good as well and he also helped intercept some of Norwood’s forward kicks.
“Renouf put on some strong pressure on occasion but definitely didn’t have his hands on the ball anywhere near as much as Lobbe.
“But he also kept 'Lobbes' away from the ball and worked hard to make him accountable.”
Lewis Stevenson improved in his second game for the Redlegs, but still has a way to go in terms of winning the ball more often following a quiet finish to the match, according to Cochrane.
Darren Pfeiffer also had one of his best performances for the year after clocking 22 touches for the Redlegs, including seven clearances and several inside 50s.
Nick Salter’s contribution for Woodville-West Torrens was limited after Sturt caused an upset win over the Eagles.
Salter played at full-forward for the Eagles and was limited in terms of both the frequency and quality of opportunities to get the ball from his team.
The club’s only Reserves-level player at the weekend was Mason Shaw, who put in an impressive showing for the Panthers at Alberton on Sunday morning.
Shaw kicked four goals for the match and showed form Daniel Healy believes will warrant a League selection soon.
“Mason played his best game for the year,” said Healy.
“By half-time he’d taken 8 marks, kicked 3 goals and had 12 possessions.
“His movement off the ball, getting behind his defender and presentation and leading was very pleasing.
“He looked like a player who was too good for the level and was the dominant player in the match.
“With their senior side going down, it’s hopefully a good opportunity for him to press his claim for selection.”
