THE remaining daily tickets to the historic first Balfours Showdown at the iconic Adelaide Oval have been sold.

The public tickets went on sale at 9:00am on Thursday morning following the club member pre-sale period on Tuesday and Wednesday.

Those public tickets were completely exhausted by midday Thursday.

It means that a Port Adelaide 11-game reserved seat or Essential Power membership is currently the only way to get into the game, with the club retaining a number of seats in each membership category to cater for current record demand.

The club recently broke its all-time membership record and enjoyed a record membership sales week at the start of March with unprecedented demand for season tickets driven by the opportunity to see Port Adelaide host the first home match at the magnificent redeveloped Adelaide Oval.

Over 25,000 11-game season ticket memberships have been sold for the club’s 2014 home fixture at the Oval – almost 10,000 more than last year – and sales continue to build with around 1,000 season tickets sold last week.

The only way for those who have missed a daily ticket to guarantee entry into the Adelaide Oval for the first Showdown is by purchasing an 11-game reserved seat or Essential Power membership with Port Adelaide for 2014.

Port Adelaide currently has 45,519 members and is targeting a milestone 50,000 memberships for 2014.

If it achieves that figure, the club will have increased its membership by more than 20,000 since 2010.

While all public tickets to the Balfours Showdown XXXVI are currently exhausted, more tickets may become available for purchase as a result of unused club, venue and corporate allocations.

If available, tickets will be released via Ticketek at 12:00pm on Wednesday 26 March with details provided via media channels from 9:00am.

Membership and season ticket packages are still available online at www.weareportadelaide.com.au or via the club’s Membership hotline 1300 GO PAFC (1300 467 232).
