THREE players have been confirmed in Port Adelaide’s side to play the GWS Giants at Skoda Stadium on Sunday.

As expected, Matthew Lobbe will lead the ruck against former Power teammate Jonathan Giles.

Paul Stewart will make his return after a fortnight on the sidelines, while Matt Thomas has been selected to add grunt to the Power's midfield.

Thomas’s inclusion came down to a strong return performance against Geelong in Round 9.

“We were pretty happy with Thomas’s performance against Geelong with his 18 possessions and two goals,” director of coaching and strategy Alan Richardson told portadelaidefc.com.au.

“He only went out of the team because of injury so our reasoning behind his selection is simply down to form.”

Kane Mitchell has been omitted from the team, adding to Thursday night’s other confirmed outs of Campbell Heath and the injured Jarrad Redden.

“Mitch didn’t quite have the impact that we wanted for a player in the position he was in for the past few games,” said Richardson.

“He’ll go back to the SANFL and build some form there and I’m sure he’ll put some pressure to get back in pretty quickly.”

Port Adelaide will hold an open training session at Skoda Stadium from 3:15pm (EST) on Saturday June 15 ahead of Sunday’s match commencing at 1:10pm (EST).
