THE Port Adelaide Football Club and Foodbank SA will take a new step in their unique charity partnership in 2013, with the Power To End Hunger campaign on show on the players’ match shorts.

The Power To End Hunger message will be carried by the players throughout 2013, beginning with Port Adelaide’s first home game of the season against Greater Wester Sydney on Saturday night.

Port Adelaide CEO Keith Thomas said the major charity partnership with Foodbank SA was one of the club’s proudest achievements.

“We launched the campaign in 2012 with a view to raising awareness of the issue of hunger in our community and also to drive new financial support for Foodbank and its efforts to support more than 500 charities in South Australian,” Mr Thomas said.

“We see the Power To End Hunger partnership as a long-lasting and highly effective campaign which our club and players are once again honoured to carry onto the football field each week.”
