CARLTON'S dangerous small forward Eddie Betts looks likely to miss Sunday's clash with Port Adelaide after being offered a three-match ban for rough conduct on St Kilda's Nathan Wright.

The incident left Wright with a broken jaw and was assessed as negligent, severe impact and high contact, resulting in a five match ban.

With a good record and an early plea, Betts can accept a three-match ban.

Carlton will now decide whether to appeal the decision at the tribunal, or accept the ban.
