NO injuries have been reported from Port Adelaide's Round 9 loss to Geelong.

It sets the scene for the possible return of several players - four are listed for assessment at training this week.

Brett Ebert is perhaps the most significant with the big-bodied forward likely to make his return from adductor surgery undergone early this year through the SANFL within the next fortnight.

Port Adelaide's director of coaching and strategy Alan Richardson told portadelaidefc.com.au a decision will be made soon as to whether Ebert plays with Port Adelaide's SANFL side when it returns from the bye next weekend, or as a guest player in the reserves team of another state league club this week.

"We're looking forward to having Brett back, he's a great forward and a really important part of the group," said Richardson.

"What we need to decide for him is whether he'll play seconds this weekend or hold him for a week and play him at the Maggies."

Also slated for assessment his week is Jake Neade, who was rested against Geelong, and ruckmen Matthew Lobbe and Brent Renouf.

Defender Jasper Pittard is three weeks away from making his return from an ongoing hip flexor complaint.

Richardson says his recovery is progressing steadily.

"Jasper is back out running which is an important step in his rehab," said Richardson.

"We expect him to be available shortly after the bye."

Senior players Dom Cassisi (hamstring) and Jackson Trengove (foot) are three and six weeks away from their returns respectively.
