THE Power may face a youthful Crows side this weekend according to Adelaide coach Brenton Sanderson.

The Crows held a closed-trial match on Friday evening at the same time as Port Adelaide’s open match at Alberton.

The intra-club trial saw forwards Jason Porplyzia and Lewis Johnston kick three goals apiece for opposing sides, while Richard Douglas, Ben Dowdell, Sam Jacobs, Josh Jenkins and Brodie Martin all kicked two majors for the winning ‘Crows Gold’ side.

Sanderson said the Crows would use this weekend’s games against Port Adelaide and St Kilda to play the team’s inexperienced players as well as more seasoned names.

“We’ll certainly give our young players plenty of opportunity to show us what they’ve got during the NAB Cup,” Sanderson said.

“At different times, some of our experienced players won’t be playing and we’ll get a chance to see who out of those young guys stands up. We’ll try to give almost every player on our list a bit of exposure.”

Port Adelaide plays the Crows at 6.20pm this Sunday at AAMI Stadium, and will announce its team at 2.30pm on Thursday.
