RICHMOND midfielder Daniel Jackson has been suspended for one week by the AFL’s Match Review Panel, ruling him out of the Round 6 clash with Port Adelaide.

Jackson was charged after an AFL investigation with a Level One engaging in rough conduct offence against West Coast’s Scott Selwood, during the first quarter of Sunday’s match against West Coast.

In summary, due to his previous poor record, his one-match sanction must remain at one game, even with an early plea.

Meanwhile, Jake King is pushing to be Jackson's replacement, fighting back from a Round 2 knee injury which was expected to keep him sidelined for six weeks. The small forward will have a fitness test later this week but is likely to take his place in Richmond's line-up on Sunday as they travel to AAMI Stadium.

Brett Deledio has also been declared fit to play despite being involved in some friendly fire in the clash with West Coast.

Deledio hurt his knee when teammate Shane Tuck slid into him in the second quarter and was forced to leave the field.

He returned late in the term with the knee strapped, played out the game, and will suit up again in Round 6.
