All you have to do is head to the Choco Uncut page (you’ll find it under News) between the final siren of the weekend’s game and midday on Monday. Submit your question about the game, then Mark’s answers will appear at PortAdelaideFC.com.au on Tuesday morning.

Hey CHocco – how do you work out where to play Chad Cornes every week? What are the key things you look for when working out where to play him?
Damien Harris

MARK WILLIAMS: Things that determine whether he plays centre half back or on ball is who’s available to play in those spots for us, what the opposition would like us to do - and we’ll do the opposite - and likely tactics against us. So there’s three or four different things we have to consider but mostly it’s where we think Chad will gives us the most value.

Hi Mark, what a great start to the season, well done. Channel 7 had a lot of close ups of you in the coach’s box and it looked like in the second quarter you were showing the other coaches how Brett Ebert should have marked the ball. I think you were saying it should have been with his body behind it. Was this something you addressed at half time because our guys seemed to mark the ball a lot better and a lot more on the chest than St Kilda.
Louise McIntyre

MARK WILLIAMS: Well you’re exactly right, that’s exactly what I was talking about and we certainly did show it and talked about it at half time so if our players picked it up in that time I’m very happy.

Mark, I've been really impressed with the way the team has handled the wet-weather conditions two weeks in a row now. Is playing in the rain something you plan for and around?
Stef

MARK WILLIAMS: Yes we do. There’s four or five different skills that need to be accomplished in the wet including soccering off the ground and keeping the ball in front and playing in front and those sorts of things. There’s also a game plan which is a little different to normal and thankfully the players adapted to it very quickly.

Do you believe that the Power can get to the goal of winning the Grand Final in 2007, or do you think the team still needs time to build up and further have the chance in the future?
daniel hams

MARK WILLIAMS: We’re actually working more about how we play and how much improvement there is and looking at those sorts of indicators rather than the win loss record so right now we’re not caught up in the future we’re in the now.

Ey Choco... Just wondering how you chose 22 players each week? Is it going to be harder now that Motlop, Pearce and Brogan are back in the side? Congrats on all the wins... xoxo
Naomi

MARK WILLIAMS: Actually right at this moment I have three players lined up in my front lawn cutting the lawn, doing the edges and cleaning my pool to try to get in! Seriously though it’s a difficult task, training certainly comes into it as does what the opposition’s strengths are. Our players who are playing well get the best chance and those that have played well in the past that are coming back from injury and are training well, they’ve got a chance to get picked as well. In the end there’s a lot of discussion among our selection committee and normally it comes down to the last one or two spots and we spend something like three quarters of an hour on those trying to decide which way we go.

CHOCO’S PLAYER OF THE DAY: Michael Pettigrew

MARK WILLIAMS: I thought Michael played one of his best games for the club on Friday night. He was tough, he played in front, he really adds to our versatility, and has taken some good strides forward this year.

You can win a $29 PrePay recharge voucher and $9.95 starter pack thanks to Vodafone, as well as a $50 Power Gear Shop voucher by predicting Choco’s player of the day. There was no winner this week as no-one selected Michael Pettigrew (other than Mark!)
