THE Port Adelaide Football Club has traded Shaun Burgoyne to Hawthorn.
In return the Power will receive Picks 9 and 16 in November's 2009 NAB AFL National Draft, as well as Jay Nash from Essendon.
The Power will also give up Pick 24 (to Essendon) and Picks 40 and 56 (to Geelong).
South Australian Nash, 23, from Central District, played 43 games for Essendon, including 21 in 2008 but just two this year. He was selected with Pick 28 in the 2003 National Draft.
Port Adelaide Football Operations Manager Peter Rohde says his club is pleased to have completed the trade.
"We wish Shaun all the best at Hawthorn," Rohde said.
"This leaves us with picks 8, 9 and 16 in the National Draft, which is a terrific position.
"We are also delighted to have secured Jay Nash from Essendon.
"We have had our eye on Jay since he was drafted and really rate him as a half-back or on-baller."
