Okay, so who missed the cut off for this round to make all their trades?
With the Thursday night game between Carlton and the Brisbane Lions, Dream Team 2010 has gone into lock-out a little earlier than normal.
What’s been interesting to see in 2010 so far is the steady improvement in players like Tom Rockliff from the Lions (who scored another 99 point game against Carlton) and Fremantle’s Nathan Fyfe, whose value has skyrocketed over the past few months, seeing his value now at $280,500 - for anyone who bought him at his original price, that’s a jump of $191,000.
The trick is knowing when to sell and when to hold.
It’s hard to believe that anyone could seriously contemplate offloading fellow Freo highflyer Michael Barlow, such is his amazing form - he’s averaging 109.75 points a game. But at $451,600, his value has positively skyrocketed, now sitting some $345,800 above his original value - it’s no surprise that he’s the most-improved value of all players in the AFL in Dream Team 2010.
But what of other big improvers such as Matt Maguire from the Lions, who has improved $184,900 to $286,600, but is now likely to be missing for several weeks due to injury? He’s the sort of player that it might be worth considering offloading to reap some easy monetary rewards.
Similarly, the likes of high draft picks Tom Scully, Jack Trengove, and Dustin Martin have all gone way up on their starting prices, but you’d think that they might have peaked, and it might be worth offloading them to bring in a seasoned Dream Team performer such as Garry Ablett, Paul Chapman or even our own Kane Cornes, who continues to score highly, averaging 103.85 points a game.
Congratulations to Michael Thompson whose team Extreme Prejudice got the highest score in the Official Pizza Hut Power Dream Team Group this week with a score of 2,312. He’ll be digging in to a week’s worth of free pizza thanks to Pizza Hut!
