PORT Adelaide defender Jackson Trengove remains a chance to play against Melbourne at TIO Stadium in Darwin on Saturday night after scans revealed no broken bones in his injured wrist.

Injury List

It was feared Trengove had suffered a season-ending fracture when St Kilda skipper Nick Riewoldt accidentally trod on the 20-year-old's arm in the final quarter of the Power's 56-point loss to the Saints at AAMI Stadium on Sunday.

Trengove was helped from the ground nursing his arm, which developed a golf-ball sized lump immediately after the heavy contact with Riewoldt's boot.

He was sent for X-rays on Monday that indicated the massive swelling had been caused by a burst blood vessel or haematoma, and not a broken bone.

Trengove attended the club's recovery session at the Marion Aquatic Centre on Monday and will face a fitness test on Wednesday to see whether he'll make the trip to Darwin with the team this week.
