A history maker, Brogan began his career in the AFL with Port Adelaide after coming off the rookie list - prior to playing football in the SANFL with South Adelaide and then the Power in the AFL, he had won the National Basketball League title with the Adelaide 36ers in 1998. In 2004, as a Premiership player with the Power, he became the first sportsman to be part of a grand final winning team in both the NBL and AFL.
