It will be loud, proud, and passionate at AAMI Stadium tonight when a crowd of 40,000 – the club’s biggest first final crowd – witnesses the Port Adelaide v West Coast blockbuster.

At 3.30pm on Friday, 38,017 tickets had been sold for the match after a late rush.

More than 5,000 tickets were sold between mid-morning and mid-afternoon on Friday.

With tickets still available to be bought from AAMI Stadium when the gates open at 5.30pm, the crowd seems certain to get to 40,000.

A crowd of more than 39,250 (v Geelong in 2004) would make it the Power’s biggest crowd at a week one final.

With such a big crowd expected, Planet Teal Zone (near Gate 4 at AAMI Stadium) is sure to be pumping before the game.

Sarah Lloyd, one of the stars of this season’s Australian Idol, will perform at Planet Teal Zone at 5.30pm and 6.30pm. Sarah has also been part of the Power Funk Squad, the young dance team that perform on AAMI Stadium at every Power home game.

Other highlights at the Planet Teal Zone tonight will be player autographs from 6.15pm, face painting, Thunda Power and Vegeman giving out free fruit and kids band Rockin Sox performing at 6pm and 6.45pm.
