Peter Jackson Player of the Week
Steven Summerton
I was very happy with his game, and not from a possession point of view, though he had many. His leadership and direction was outstanding as well as finding the footy himself.
Player Reviews
Tom Gray
Very similar to last week’s game, played his role really well for us and was very hard at the contest.
Luke Reynolds
Luke was in-and-out of the game. He just needs to find consistency when playing at league level but is very classy and makes things happen for us when in possession.
Dougal Howard
Competed much better this week when the ball was in his area, and showed he can hunt the opposition with genuine speed and aggression.
Tom Logan
Little bit of a different role for Tom this week, but what never changes is his attack and courage at the footy. He won plenty of the ball and seemed to enjoy the opportunity to be let loose.
Sid Masters
Really playing solid footy at the moment and has settled well for us down back. Beats his man but also gives us good offence as he is prepared to challenge his opponent in this area.
Sam Russell
I like the fact that he is committed to beating his man weekly, and looks to provide the team with some run and carry. Starting to see improvement in this area.
John Butcher
John was very good for us down back and defended aggressively against his opponent. Challenged his opponent as well by getting more involved with our offense but I like the fact he is now playing consistently at SANFL level.
Karl Amon
Karl really played a stronger brand of footy for us. He hunted the oppo and tackled with real intent. He just needs to keep working on hurting the opposition with every possession.
Darcy Byrne-Jones
Had a really good battle on an exciting young player in Milera. Darcy always needs to be looking to win every contest and use his speed to get more attacking for us at times.
Ben Sawford
Very solid performance as the conditions suited him. Worked really hard around stoppage and was very clean with contested possessions.
Brendon Ah Chee
Much better than last week for Arch, he worked hard across four quarters as well as fighting a tag from the opposition. Sacrificed his own game at times for the good of the team as well as show great leadership to our younger mids.
Jarred Redden
Another strong performance from Reddo. I have liked the way he is going about his footy lately and its consistency of effort and staying in contests which is impressing me most of all.
Anthony Biemans
Seems to be getting better by the week, this time he had a very strong performance over four quarters. Impacted on the scoreboard as well as defending with real intent in every contest.
Louis Sharrad
Louie just loves cracking in around the footy and played a very good game for us this week. I really liked the way he protected teammates off the ball and was rewarded by the footy gods with two goals.
Billy Frampton
Impressive performance from Billy. He leads the way by being aggressive and physical in contests as well as he giving us first look at the footy.
Jesse Palmer
Played a slightly higher role this week for us and still had impressive moments in the game. Consistency across four quarters is his main goal, but some of his defensive work in this game was extremely pleasing.
Mitch Harvey
Looked to challenge his opponent up forward this week. Quite a competitive game from him with some shots on goal as well but his ability to help others score was the highlight for me through his good work off the ball.
Tom Jonas
Very solid and continues to be very hard to play against. Gets good support from others down back and we would just like to see a little more offense and look to challenge his opponent at the right times.
Robbie Young
Very good game from Robbie. Three goals from great pressure inside-50 was a highlight, but what was also exciting was his confidence to take on the opposition in wet conditions.
Jarmen Impey
Good solid performance and had some good match-ups while down back. Courageous at times to stand under the ball and cop what came his way. Would like to see him use his weapons and run and carry the ball more.
