Kicked on the run from 45m on tight angle. Games is very evenly poised at the moment – both teams are winning some ball.

12min - SCORE – Port Adelaide behind – Nathan Krakouer
Leaped up to smother a handball, grabbed his loose ball but missed the snap.

13min - SCORE – Port Adelaide goal – Nathan Lonie
Lonie at his best – getting on the end of some good link up handballs and goaling on the run from 55m with that classic left foot of his.

Did all the hard work then missed from 15m.

15min - SCORE – Sydney behind – Luke Vogels

The Power on fire now! Ebert’s kicked four now!

22min - SCORE – Sydney goal – Darren Jolly
Free against Willits for one of those new, minuscule pushes in the back.

24min - SCORE – Sydney goal – Barry Hall
Marked low from a unstoppable pass after a free in midfield.

Lead well and marked a great 50m pass by Pearcey. This is going to the wire.

Another great win by the Power to make it three wins out of four this pre-season, with the only loss being an unlucky one in overtime. Tonight, the Power looked good in defence with Toby Thurstans, Michael Pettigrew (until he rolled an ankle), Troy Chaplin and Darryl Wakelin all holding key opponents quite well while Chad Cornes got plenty of defensive ball (29 disposals) to be comfortably the Power’s leading possession winner and a real ‘quarter back’. Jacob Surjan also had lots of ball in defence and looked composed in his best pre-season game. Up forward the Power looked dangerous all night largely due to Brett Ebert who kicked 4.4. Damon White was also a great presence, kicking three goals, all in the first term. Daniel Motlop also was his creative self, getting quite a bit of ball in the second half. Leading midfielders for the Power tonight were Dom Cassisi and Kane Cornes who had just under 20 disposals each. All in all a great team effort and one the young Power side should take plenty of confidence from, having played top notch opposition in a new venue in trying conditions.

Port Adelaide 14.13 (97)
Sydney 14.8 (92)
