PORT Adelaide’s home game after-match functions return to Alberton Oval this weekend.

But unfortunately due to space limitations, access will be restricted and limited to Members only.

After several years at AAMI Stadium - first in the Magarey Room and more recently at The Hanger - the Club has decided to relocate the events to The Port Club for the remainder of 2011.

Chief Executive Mark Haysman made the announcement at last week’s Member Information Night, saying the Club had responded to the wishes of many supporters.

“Our after-match functions are where we celebrate or we commiserate, and we do it together,” Mr Haysman told a crowd of more than 250 in the Oval Room, where the events will be held.

“And it’ll be great to do it back at Alberton. It’s what a lot of our people want so we hope to see you here more often.”

For those needing transport from AAMI Stadium to Alberton, the Adam Internet double-decker bus will leave after the game from outside Gate 7 (near the Checkside Tavern). It will return to AAMI Stadium with the last service leaving Alberton at 7.15pm. For other public transport options from Alberton, check adelaidemetro.com.au

The after-match function arrangements will be reviewed at the end of the season, before a decision is made for 2012.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Access for Members only. Entry is free, and the line-up will remain the same including interviews with players and coaching staff.

The Port Club Bistro will be open for meals from 5.30pm, but bookings are essential (Ph 8447 9902).

So join us after the game back at Alberton.
