ROBBIE Gray has recovered from a hamstring injury and has been declared available to play against Sydney on Saturday.

The 24 year old livewire will provide a welcome boost for the Power as they look to beat the Swans for the first time since 2006.

Head fitness coach Cam Falloon said Gray was close to playing against the Bombers in Round 2.

“He was close last week against the Bombers, but he should be right for the Sydney game if he gets through training this week,” Falloon said.

Meanwhile, Chad Wingard has been given the all clear by an eye specialist and will play in Round 3. PortAdelaideFC.com.au will have more from Wingard later in the week in an exclusive PTV video.

In other injury news, Nick Salter has suffered a setback with his foot injury, being forced to undergo surgery to insert a screw in his fractured foot.

It is an unfortunate setback for the 24 year old who suffered a similar injury early in 2011, which sidelined him for almost three months.
