Simon Phillips debut season as a Power player has been curtailed by a shoulder injury necessitating surgery.
Phillips hurt his shoulder in the clash with Brisbane Lions at the Gabba in Round 15, with the dynamite small forward missing the last two weeks.
He underwent surgery late last week after further assessment determined that it was the best course of action to enable him to return ready for a full preseason ahead of the 2012 season.
