Drafted in the 2000 AFL draft at pick number 50, Cassisi debuted in Round 14, 2002, at his native Subiaco against Fremantle. He was part of the 2002 pre-season Premiership side as well as being in the 2004 Premiership side, and in 2005 was voted the club’s Most Improved Player on Best & Fairest Night. In 2009 he was named skipper of the side, replacing Warren Tredrea, and was voted by his peers as the player’s Best Team Man, taking out the Fos Williams Medal in 2009.
