Wingard's injury blow comes fresh on the back of news fellow forward Jay Schulz will miss Round 6 with a scratched cornea.
Schulz - who is still wearing a patch on his wounded right eye - was examined by a specialist on Monday afternoon and will undergo a further assessment next week.
Meanwhile, rookie-listed defender Tom Jonas will miss one week with an injury to the patella in his right knee.
