What would you rate as the strengths of your game?
I think my skills, decision making and anticipation are all strengths of my game which I will continue to work on.

Who has been the biggest influence on your career and why?
My Dad has been my biggest influence on my career so far. He has taught me so much about the game and he is the major reason as to why I have got the skills I've got. He's always taught me to practice on my non-preffered hand and foot, to mark the ball in the hands and not on the chest etc. He still gives me feedback on my games which I take into conideration even though it may not seem like it to him and he as well as my brother are the only two that I can really speak honestly about my game to.

What do you hope to be in five years time?
I hope to be on an AFL list, wherever that may be and pushing for a leadership role. I hope that wherever I am playing that I am playing consistant football at a high standard, and I hope that I have inspired and helped others along the way.

Who has been your most difficult opponent and why?
Stephen Hill of Western Australia U/18 has probably been my toughest opponent. His athleticism, speed and endurance along with his damaging skills meant that he could beat me to the ball and influence the play effectively.

What inspires you?
Seeing players back into contests with their eyes completely on the ball is what inspires me most. Also watching star players like Ablett and Judd break a tag is amazing to watch too.

If you had to describe the Port Adelaide Football Club what would you say?
I would describe the Port Adelaide Football Club as a team that everyone loves to hate. They are a club that has an extremely long and proud history which has been upheld well in the AFL. Recently the club has encountered some difficult times and I would love to be able to help rebuild the fine reputation that it has.

Do you currently play or have played any other sports? If so, at what level?
Yes I play cricket for the South Road C.C. "A" Grade in the Adelaide and Suburban Cricket Association Division 1. I used to play a bit more seriously for the State and Glenelg C.C. throughout the juniors and even got selected in the Australian U/15 Merit Team after the National Carnival in 2005 but decided to that football was my first love and quit cricket at a serious level in 2006.

If not attending school what are you doing outside of football?
I work for Adelaide Metro in the Public Transport Divison (Department for Transport, Energy and Infrastructure).

Do you have any brothers or sisters?
Yes I have an older brother, Adam, 22 years old. I also have a younger sister, Annabel, 15 years old.

Have your brothers or sisters played sports, if so at what level?
Yes my brother has played football all his life and is currently playing with the Carlton Football Club at AFL level.

Jason McCartney says: He has exquisite skills and balance. In SA's first game against Tasmania I remember the ball being loose at half-forward and with opposition players around him he somehow reached in and grabbed it away from two Tassie players, did a blind turn and nailed the goal from 50m off two steps. He's very laid back and he's a great kid, but he just needs to be a little bit more meticulous in his preparation. He's a super talent though; he's a ripper and he'll be a great pick-up for someone.
