New Directors join board
The club has added three new Directors to its board.
The Port Adelaide Football Club advises the following appointments to its Board of Directors:
Mr Cos Cardone: Chief Executive Officer - McGuire Media
Mr Cardone is a life-long Port Adelaide supporter and Foundation Leader who is an influential national media executive. A former Head of Sport (Melbourne) and Head of AFL with the Nine Network, he has years of sports broadcasting and management experience, an established reputation within the AFL community and a wide network of contacts.
Mr Cardone is based in Melbourne where he will be part of Port Adelaide’s national advisory group, providing the club with a high-level presence among many of Australia’s leading corporations and key AFL decision-makers.
Mr Cardone fills an SANFL-appointed position on the Board.

Mr Ross Haslam: Corporate Accountant/Professional Director
Mr Haslam is a Life Member of the Port Adelaide Football Club having played 113 games for the Magpies between 1966 and 1971, before establishing himself as one of South Australia’s most highly respected accountants.
With expertise in areas including corporate responsibility, audit procedures, investment due diligence and company restructures, Mr Haslam brings additional financial experience and integrity to the board of the Port Adelaide Football Club.
Mr Haslam is also Chairman of Michell Holdings Pty Ltd, KWP Advertising Pty Ltd and Scotch College.
Mr Haslam - whose name is on the number 11 locker in the Port Adelaide players’ change room - fills the Member-elected Director post vacated by Mr Bruce Abernethy.
Under the Constitution of the Port Adelaide Football Club, Mr Haslam will see out the remainder of that term which expires in 2014.
Mr Jamie Restas: Chairman of Partners - Kelly & Co. Lawyers
Mr Restas is a leading South Australian corporate lawyer, with years of experience advising a diverse range of companies on complex corporate and commercial activities.
A partner of Kelly & Co. - one of South Australia’s largest independent commercial law firms - Mr Restas has been involved with many of the major corporate transactions in this state in recent years.
Mr Restas fills an SANFL-appointed position on the Board.
Port Adelaide Chairman Mr David Koch welcomed the new faces to the Board of Directors.
“These are highly respected professionals who bring additional and valuable experience, skills, energy and thinking to the boardroom of the Port Adelaide Football Club,” Mr Koch said.
“Along with the other Directors, I look forward to working with them to build on the efforts of past Board members as we position Port Adelaide for a new era of success at all levels.”
The club is in the process of identifying a candidate to fill a final SANFL-appointed vacancy on its Board of Directors.
“We have a vacant spot available to give us flexibility in finding the right person with the right credentials,” Mr Koch said.
The Port Adelaide Football Club will name its remaining Director at the appropriate time.
