The programming of Port Adelaide’s round thirteen bye has proven fortuitous after four players were listed as injured following the Power’s 38 point loss to the Western Bulldogs at Etihad Stadium on Sunday night.

Four players were taken from the ground during the match, with Hamish Hartlett’s suspected hamstring injury the most damaging.

Initial reports suggest Hartlett could miss four games with the injury, with Port Adelaide’s medical staff to confirm upon assessment when the playing group returns to Alberton on Monday.

If a four week absence is required, it would mean Hartlett could be back in time for the Power’s round 16 game against Essendon at AAMI Stadium.

Jackson Trengove left the ground after thrice dislocating a finger during the game - different to the one he injured against Melbourne during the NAB Cup - and was able to resume playing later in the match.

Jacob Surjan was substituted from the game after sustaining a suspected concussion and will be evaluated during the week, whilst Paul Stewart also spent significant time off the ground in the hands of medical staff with a corked thigh.
