Port Adelaide advises that all 10,000 tickets to Saturday’s Round 11 game vs Richmond at the Adelaide Oval have been exhausted.
The reduction in capacity at Adelaide Oval to 10,000 spectators was part of the State Government’s restrictions against the spread of Covid-19 announced yesterday.
Port Adelaide executive general manager Matthew Richardson thanked club members for both their support and understanding during this challenging time.
“We’ve had an incredible response for tickets from our Members this morning, with almost half of the Member allocation snapped up in the first 15 minutes,” Mr Richardson said.
“With the reduction in Adelaide Oval capacity to 10,000 and the short turnaround in home games, we used the same priority groupings as the previous two home games.
“Unfortunately with such high demand, some of our members have been unable to secure a ticket to this game which is disappointing.
“At the same time, we appreciate what a precarious position our state is in when it comes to the COVID-19 pandemic and our State Government has done a wonderful job in ensuring the health and safety of all South Australians. We all have to play our role to ensure we remain in this position.”
Mr Richardson explained that the club’s member priority allocations are based on the finals’ ticketing allocation model.
“With the reduced capacity down to 10,000, we will review this prior to our next game to ensure those Members who have missed out have priority for our next home game,” he said.
“We thank our members for their amazing support and loyalty through this period. The majority have been unable to attend a game this year and yet they remain committed more than ever which talks to the passion and spirit of the Port Adelaide community.”
