YEP, Boaky beat me again. This time it wasn’t even close with my team the Gray’s Greats scoring a pretty miserly 1759 in Round 2 compared to Team Boak’s score of 2069.

Don’t worry, I’m hurting and Boaky certainly isn’t being shy in letting me know about it. The good news is that I didn’t have to cook dinner again! My girlfriend Bel is still over from Victoria and took over the kitchen duties on Monday night whipping up a pretty handy beef stroganoff. Honestly, I will cook at some point…

My forward line fell to pieces this week, with six of my seven forwards scoring under 80 with Jack Ziebell having the toughest week against a rampant St Kilda, mustering up just 34 points. I’ve still got faith in him though.

It was the same story with the rucks unfortunately with a combined 79 points from Kurt Tippett and Darren Jolly. Unlike Boaky though, I’m holding on to my trades. I’ll back the blokes I selected before the start of the season in and wait until some of my rookies have gone up in price before I trade.

One player who certainly didn’t let me down was Michael Barlow. At just $105,800, he’s racked up two massive scores of 128 and 127 over the first two weeks of the season. His breakeven score this week is -178, which means he’d have to get 60 frees against and not get a touch to stay at that same price. If you don’t have in your team, get him…now! He’s the one player that is definitely worth a trade at this point of the year. I’m backing him in for another ton this week!

Round 3 is a big round for Dream Teamers as prices change at the end of the round (for players who have played all three games). With that in mind, I did a bit research into some players you may look at bringing in if your bench players aren’t playing.

Carl Peterson from the Hawks and Mitch Duncan from Geelong both looked good in the Easter Monday game and could be handy forwards. In the mids you may want to look at Mitch Banner or Luke Shuey, who have both impressed early or tackling machine Jordie McKenzie who has two hundreds from two games! As for the backs, you can’t go past Alex Silvagni (I said at the start of the year he’s got a good footy name!), who at just $77,800 is set for a massive jump in price. Only trade if you absolutely have to because you’ve only got 20 trades for the year!

The pizzas this week go to Zac Tolmachoff’s after his team The Men scored a massive 2,324 to top the Official Pizza Hut Power Dream Team Group table. Congratulations Zac, enjoy that pizza!

Will speak to you again in a fortnight
Cheers
Robbie
