Travis Boak has received the maximum 10 votes from the coaches for AFLCA Player of the Year award for the fourth time this season.

PORT ADELAIDE midfielder Travis Boak has moved back into second place in the overall standings in the 2020 SHADFORTH FINANCIAL GROUP AFLCA CHAMPION PLAYER OF THE YEAR AWARD after he picked up maximum votes in his side’s win over Hawthorn on Saturday.

Boak received ten votes from the coaches after finishing with a game-high outstanding for Port with a game-high 34 disposals – 16 of them contested – along with six marks, six tackles and a game-high nine clearances.

The former skipper also had three score involvements to go with his leather poisoning.

Zak Butters, who kicked two goals including the match-winner with a couple of minutes to play, was among four other Port Adelaide players to poll votes on the night.

He received four votes, while defenders Trent McKenzie and Tom Clurey received two votes and Darcy Byrne-Jones got one.

Hawks James Worpel (seven votes), Tom Mitchell (three votes) and Sam Frost (one vote) also polled.

With votes from a number of other games to come, Boak has leapfrogged Melbourne’s Christian Petracca into second, but is still 18 votes behind the runaway leader Lachie Neale from Brisbane.
