Young Power forward Todd Marshall will be hoping to take the field against the Swans on Saturday.

PORT ADELAIDE has several players pushing for selection for Saturday afternoon’s game against Sydney including a trio of youngsters returning from injury.

With no injuries reported out of last week’s win over Hawthorn, selectors could opt to go in unchanged against the Swans but coach Ken Hinkley has admitted his side has not been at its best in recent weeks, which might spell movement.

Forwards Todd Marshall and Connor Rozee, and defender Ryan Burton have overcome respective thumb, heel and quad injuries and are ready to return to the side.

Kane Farrell and Xavier Duursma each performed strongly in a match simulation session last Saturday, which also involved Hawthorn players.

Both Farrell and Duursma were omissions from last week’s AFL side and would hope they have done enough to impress the coaches and come straight back in.

Midfielder Willem Drew has been close to playing his first game for the season after foot surgery, while the experienced Cam Sutcliffe and first-year defender Miles Bergman have been regulars on the emergency list and are also in the mix for selection.

Port Adelaide will on Friday evening name its side to tackle the Swans, with first bounce at Adelaide Oval at 1:15pm ACST on Saturday.
