IT may only be Round 1 but Robbie Gray has picked up where he finished his outstanding 2015 season, awarded best on ground honours from both coaches after the win over St Kilda.
The reigning two-time best and fairest winner was awarded the maximum of 10 votes after he collected 26 disposals, 8 clearances, and was the leading goal scorer on field with 4.2
Namesake Sam Gray was another player to continue his stellar end of last year, finishing with a game high 37 disposals and picking up four votes from the coaches.
Jasper Pittard (4 votes) was important coming out of defence with seven rebound 50s, while Brad Ebert (3) and Justin Westhoff (1) were the other Port Adelaide players to poll.
After the first round of football Robbie Gray shares the top of the leaderboard with five other players who also took out the maximum votes possible in their respective games.
