PORT ADELAIDE will face off against North Adelaide at Prospect Oval on Saturday afternoon in another important season-shaping SANFL clash.

The Magpies and Roosters are both well rested coming off the split round bye and will be ready to go for the Round 11 match-up.

Port will be looking to make it three wins in a row, following important victories against Sturt and Norwood, both in front of big crowds at Alberton Oval.

While the inform Magpies currently reside in seventh place on the ladder, they find themselves just one win behind the third-placed Redlegs, who have played an extra game after playing last week.

North sit in 10th place, with just one win to its name, but the reigning premiers pose a threat with dangerous players such as Keenan Ramsey (17 goals from 10 games) and Lewis Hender (15 goals from nine games) showing decent form.

Jarred Allmond is also having a stellar season for the Roosters, averaging 28 disposals, but his performances over the past two matches have seen him average 36 disposals, 11 rebound 50s and 7.5 marks.

Port’s SANFL side has welcomed back big-name players over the past fortnight with Charlie Dixon, Ollie Wines and Brad Ebert starring in the prison bars, but captain Cam Sutcliffe, alongside Joe Atley, Tobin Cox, Aidyn Johnson and Kai Pudney have lifted their output in recent weeks to help the Magpies close in on the top five.

Port and North met earlier this year in Round 3 in a match which ended favourably for Port, running out 21-point winners.

The Magpies kicked five-goals-to-two in both the second and third quarters in that match to put pressure on the Roosters, as Jack Trengove ran wild with 34 disposals and racked up 14 marks.

Tall forward Todd Marshall also booted four goals.

Port will be hoping to claim a similar result when it takes on the Roosters in Prospect on Saturday – first bounce 2.40pm.
