KANE MITCHELL has polled highest for Port Adelaide in the 2015 Magarey Medal count, eventually won for the second time by South Adelaide's Joel Cross.
While the Panther midfielder led the count thoughout the night, Port Adelaide's midfielders diced for votes as the Magpies succeeded in polling at least one vote in all of its 18 contests throughout the season.
Mitchell polled 15 votes from just 10 games as a hard-running midfielder in the No. 2 guernsey.
The former Sandover Medallist led skipper Steven Summerton by just one vote by the end of the night, with Andrew Moore third for the club on nine.
Mitchell and Summerton were voted best-on-ground by the umpires on three occasions each.
Four former Magarey winners - Cross, Zane Kirkwood, Paul Thomas and James Allan - polled in the top ten.
Earlier in the night, Port Adelaide premiership hero and former captain Tim Ginever was inducted into the South Australian Football Hall of Fame.
INDUCTED: Ginever recognised for life in footy
