PORT ADELAIDE forward Connor Rozee has had successful surgery to correct an issue with a joint in his right foot.
Rozee had the surgery in Sydney on Tuesday to remove a small piece of scar tissue next to a joint on the outside of his foot.
“This unique injury did not appear to be a major issue but it was causing intermittent impingement in the joint and making Connor uncomfortable at times,” said Port Adelaide’s Head of Medical Services, Tim O’Leary.
“Given the issue was unpredictable, the surgery is expected to solve the problem in the long-term and allow Connor to play unimpeded going forward.
“If all goes to plan, we would expect to see him back playing within a month.”
The injury is separate to the plantarfascia problem which saw him miss a handful of games last season. Rozee has no ongoing issue with that part of his foot.
