THE BLUES could send an unchanged outfit to Adelaide to face the Power this Saturday following an honourable season opener loss to Richmond.
With no injuries coming from their first clash of 2019, they’ll face no forced changes this week – although potential injury returns and of course, match ups, could shake up their side.
The Blues await fitness tests for Matthew Kreuzer and Jack Silvagni on respective knee and calf injuries – both are a chance to make a return this weekend, be it at AFL or VFL level.
Like the Power, the Blues named six club debutants in their 22 last week; Alex Fasolo, Michael Gibbons, Mitch McGovern, Nic Newman, Will Setterfield and Sam Walsh.
All put forward convincing performances in their first Blues appearance, with Newman, Setterfield and Walsh named in their best and tipped to keep their spots.
After debuting at AFL level late last year, young Blue Tom De Koning looked primed for an AFL callup following best on ground performance in a VFL practice match on Monday, but sadly went down with a knee injury which will leave him sidelined for up to eight weeks.
The Power take on the Blues at 4.40pm this Saturday at Adelaide Oval.
