In: Hartlett
Out: Bonner (injured)
PORT ADELAIDE has made one change to its side to tackle Essendon in its first home game of the 2021 AFL Premiership season.
A hamstring injury has seen Riley Bonner drop out of the team and leadership player Hamish Hartlett return to the side.
Bonner is expected to be sidelined for at least a month, and has spent a few days in a leg brace and on crutches as a precaution.
Hartlett missed the pre-season game against Adelaide and the Round 1 win over North Melbourne with minor hamstring soreness but coach Ken Hinkley confirmed earlier today he was fit and ready to play.
Tom Rockliff, Mitch Georgiades, Boyd Woodcock and Trent McKenzie have been named as the emergencies with the medical substitute to be announced just prior to the match.
Saturday’s game at Adelaide Oval gets underway at 4:05pm ACDT.
There will be a special celebration of the careers of recently retired club greats Justin Westhoff and Brad Ebert from 3:30pm ACDT.
