PORT ADELAIDE utility Brad Ebert has given an update on his health, after missing the last month with concussion issues.

Ebert says he is feeling significantly better, and has been training strongly over the past fortnight.

“I’m feeling good, pretty much back to full strength,” Ebert told Triple M’s Roo & Ditts.

“I trained Tuesday and I’m going to train again today (this morning).

“Last Thursday I trained with all of the boys who didn’t travel, and I’m feeling like I’m progressing well and pretty much back to normal.”

The 29-year-old will have one more consultation with specialists early next week, but is expecting to be playing football next weekend.

“I’m heading over to Melbourne again just to get ticked off by the specialists next Tuesday then good to go hopefully,” he said.

“Hopefully they clear me and I’m all good.

“I’m feeling good (ready to play) whether that’s AFL or SANFL, we’ll see.”

In Ebert’s absence, Port’s coaching staff have had to shuffle the magnets around in the forward half, with Dougal Howard making the move into attack against St Kilda on the weekend.

A move that has really excited the 242-game veteran.

“I reckon Dougal has been awesome,” Ebert said.

“There is definitely enough depth down in the backline with Jona (Tom Jonas), Cluz (Tom Clurey), Jarrod Lienert and Broadbent.

“They trust the way that they play that they can definitely get it done.

“I like the look of what he’s (Howard) been doing forward.”
