PORT ADELAIDE defender Ryan Burton and midfielder Travis Boak have been cleared to play in Saturday night’s Showdown against Adelaide.
Burton was substituted out of the loss to Brisbane at half time with a rib injury, but scans have cleared him of any structural damage. The injury is continuing to settle, and he is expected to feature against the Crows.
Boak missed the trip to Brisbane with a minor quad injury and will be available for selection this week.
Midfielder Tom Rockliff will be sidelined for at least six weeks with a left knee injury suffered in the club’s SANFL win over reigning premier Woodville-West Torrens. The 31-year-old had scans on Monday which confirmed an isolated MCL sprain, without any other associated structural injury to the knee.
Rookie-listed defender Tyson Goldsack is expected to make his club debut on Saturday after missing the start of the campaign with a knee injury. Goldsack has put together a solid block of training while completing the rehabilitation from his knee left MCL sprain.
Port Adelaide faces the Crows at Adelaide Oval on Saturday night from 7:10pm ACST.
The team will be named on Friday evening at 5:50pm ACST.
