PORT ADELAIDE contracted SANFL player Jack Strange is no stranger to hard work.
The 170cm-tall midfielder has been present in the last four weeks of SANFL action, but his late work against Adelaide proved decisive in the win.
Strange competed well against the Crows’ forward line, which was coming hard in the second half and cause significant turnovers at crucial moments to help secure the win.
He finished the game with 15 disposals, two tackles and three rebound 50s as the Magpies held onto defeat the Crows.
The three weeks prior, he had accumulated 14 disposals in each match and was often a source for both inside 50s and rebound 50s.
Port Adelaide coach Matthew Lokan complimented Strange’s “ever reliable” presence.
“I've known ‘Strangey’ for a long time from Glenelg days and he's ever reliable for us,” he said.
“He does what he needs to be and he's a really dependable person and player and he played his role against the Crows and was really good in that area.”
