In: Houston, Jones, McKenzie
Out: Bergman (omitted), Clurey (injured), Fantasia (injured), Frederick (omitted),
PORT ADELAIDE will welcome back a trio of defenders for Sunday’s clash with Collingwood at the MCG.
Trent McKenzie, who finished fifth in the best and fairest and won the Coaches’ Award as most improved in 2020, has been named for his first AFL game for the season while Dan Houston and Lachie Jones return from injury.
Houston missed the Round 9 loss to the Western Bulldogs with a shoulder injury while Jones has not played since requiring surgery for an ankle syndesmosis injury after the Round 5 win over Carlton.
Young defenders Miles Bergman and Martin Frederick come out of the side, the latter after consecutive games as the medical substitute, while Tom Clurey has also dropped out with injury, having broken his jaw in last weekend’s game.
Orazio Fantasia will also miss the match to manage a leg injury.
Miles Bergman, Jarrod Lienert, Sam Mayes and Boyd Woodcock have been named as emergencies with the medical substitute to come from that group and be announced an hour before the game.
Any player not required at AFL level will be eligible to play in the SANFL for Port Adelaide against North Adelaide on Saturday.
Port Adelaide will take on Collingwood at the MCG on Sunday from 3:20pm AEST / 2:50pm ACST.
